Aims Academy is always looking for enthusiatic individuals who will bring their talents and apply their knowledge to share with our students and staff. We are always accepting applications for our tutoring positions.
Job qualifications require that applicants have a minimum of one year in college. Those seeking teaching credentials are preferred, but all majors are welcome to apply. Furthermore good communication and grammatical skills are required. Demonstration of patience & a cheerful personality is a must for our tutors. Most importantly, potential tutors must be able to work well with children.
A forty-five minute tutor assessment test is administered during the application process. The test consists of fundamental Pre-Algebra concepts and secondary school Grammar.
One-to-one tutors will be in charge of assisting individual students through a personalized program that requires in-depth knowledge of English and Math. Student's homework completion and test preparation are the primary duties, but programs may vary depending on the student's priorities.
Classroom instructors monitor a classroom of 10 students and will be responsible for lecturing the planned Math and English curriculum. Primary duties include homework assistance, grading assignments, and lecturing. In addition tests will be issued to the students on a weekly basis.
