| ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The Workshop introduces English material that includes new vocabulary, short stories, argumentive essays and different forms of essay formats. The Creative Writing Workshop can be fully appreciated and extremely resourceful for: 1) High school students who will need to practice writing before taking the English half of the SAT 1 or the SAT 2 Writing Test. More info on SAT College Entrance Examinations: www.collegeboard.com 2) Students who may need the extra "push" in learning the fundamental rules and techniques to writing essays. 3) Students that want to apply upper-division structured/styled writing before actually learning it in their school's conventional classrooms. |

| We offer the Creative Writing Workshop based on educator's beliefs that children should learn to write stories: 1) to foster artistic expression; 2) to explore the functions and values of writing; 3) to stimulate imagination; 4) to clarify thinking; 5) to search for identity; 6) to stengthen reading & writing capabilities. |

| The Workshop is geared toward helping young children develop skills and habits in writing and expressing creatively. We believe a successful career and life for the children down the road requires getting them to discover the fun and challenges in writing creatively. During the Workshop, the children will learn to combine skill sets like phonics, grammar, reading comprehension, vocabulary, and organization in a stimulating and fun environment. |
